A timeless classic situated in the heart of Downtown Hartford, The Goodwin, was originally developed as an apartment building in the late 1800s and later converted into a hotel. For its 2017 rebirth the landmark property has been reimagined to become a vibrant and sophisticated hub of urban hospitality. The original ornate façade of the apartment building was preserved and stands in bold contradiction to its more modern counterparts.
The stylish boutique hotel features 124 unique guest rooms including suites and duplexes, a state of the art fitness center and yoga studio, and over 5,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The Goodwin is home to destination restaurant Harlan Brasserie led by chef-turned-restaurateur Stephen Lewandowski. In addition, the group also operate a cocktail lounge simply called Side Bar, located on the corner of Asylum and Haynes Street. The restaurants provide all day dining and cater all corporate and social functions.
